NiMo & CoMo Spent Catalyst Recycling

Artios Metals develops commercial recovery and recycling routes for qualifying nickel-molybdenum, cobalt-molybdenum and related hydroprocessing catalyst materials.

Material focus

Hydroprocessing catalysts we evaluate.

These catalyst streams are commonly associated with petroleum refining and other industrial processes and may contain recoverable nickel, cobalt, molybdenum, vanadium and other metals on alumina or related support systems.

Commercial evaluation

Why composition matters.

Two NiMo or CoMo catalyst lots can have very different commercial outcomes. Artios does not apply one generic pricing formula to every spent hydroprocessing catalyst.

  • Ni, Co, Mo, V and W content
  • Carbon and sulfur
  • Moisture or loss on ignition
  • Alumina and other support materials
  • Contaminants and physical condition
  • Lot size, location and packaging
  • Classification and transport requirements
  • Downstream processor specifications

Commercial routes

Market fit before material movement.

Depending on the material, potential routes may include purchase, refining, metals-recovery programs, processor placement or another commercially appropriate downstream solution. Artios evaluates available options against the material profile and qualified receiving-facility requirements.

Initial review

What to send us.

Provide the catalyst type, manufacturer or unit application if known, recent assay, SDS, net quantity, location, packaging, photographs and any available data for carbon, sulfur, moisture or LOI and contaminants.

Qualified execution

Commercial coordination through appropriate markets.

Physical processing and regulated services are performed by appropriately qualified third parties where applicable.
